Welcome to the DSC Super Y-League Program

Founded in 1992, Damascus Soccer Club has over twenty select soccer teams at all levels of play. Our own in house recreational league registers approximately 1,000 players each Fall and Spring season and our DSC Academy program introduces nearly 200 preschool and kindergarten aged children to the beautiful sport. Damascus Soccer Club is now a proud member of the USL Super Y-League.

Questions and Answers on the USL Super Y-League by Jeff McRaney
The following interview with Jeff McRaney, Senior Director of Youth League Development, presents some common questions that explain how the Super Y-League provides the highest level of youth competition for clubs throughout North America.

What does the Super Y-League mean to player development?
The Super Y-League is designed to help in "professionalizing" player development in the United States and Canada and focuses on the most elite youth players. Our system provides the opportunity for players to compete in top-level soccer throughout the year. The Super Y-League puts the spotlight on players during the playing season, through our North American Finals championship event, and through our Olympic Development Program.

2012 Super Y Registration

Damascus Soccer Club is pleased to announce that registration for the 2012 Super Y Program is now open! Tryouts will begin in January 2012.

Super Y teams are being formed for the following age groups:

Boys: U14, U15, U16, U17, and U20
Girls: U14, U16

Register Today! All registrants will be contacted at a later date with detailed information regarding the tryout schedule for their particular age group.

DSC is pleased to offer this elite program opportunity for high-level players in our regional area.

ODP Divisional Team Player Selection Process

Step 1: Players will be evaluated over the course of the Super Y-League season by the coaches of opposing teams as well as their own club. Nominations from score sheets will be tallied each week and a midseason report will be sent to each Club.

Step 2: At the completion of the season, or specified time, the combined nominations will be used, along with proportional allocation in conjunction with Director of Coaching recommendations, to determine invitations to the ODP camps the following season. The overall number of games and teams will also be factored into this process.

Step 3: The selected ODP players will attend the ODP National Camp held on their corresponding age group date.

Step 4: Once at the ODP Select Camp, players will be evaluated over intense competition and training by the ODP Staff. At the completion of the event a final selection for the ODP Select Team will be made recognizing the top players in the Super Y-League. Once this selection has been made, certain ODP Select Teams may be invited to participate in events beyond the camps.
